One of Marika Rökk’s most popular movies was “Kora Terry” (1940), a musical/crime drama in which she plays twin sisters Kora and Mara Terry…. Kora is evil and Mara a goody two shoes. Kora seduces the young musician whom Mara is secretly in love with (and then dumps him). When Mara accidentally kills Kora during an argument she is forced to take Kora’s place in order to care for Kora’s little daughter…. Then Kora’s past catches up with Mara…. The movie featured several songs that became evergreens : “Für eine nacht voller Seligkeit” (For a night full of happiness), “Wenn es Frühling wird” (When spring comes) and “Im Leben geht alles vorüber” (Nothing lasts in life) as well as elaborate dance numbers…. The movie enjoyed great popularity – not only in Germany but in many parts of (occupied) Europe as well. Marika Rökk recorded the movie’s songs for Telefunken. “Für eine nacht voller Seligkeit” can be found on many compalitions but usually the movie soundtrack is presented (in the movie it is a duet between Kora and Mara). [English]: Here is my personal record of the Blizzard dancing contest on the Gamescom 2011 (19.08.2011). I tried to record it so good as possible with my Canon SX220 and had to hold up the cam with my right arm around 50 minutes while I set the focus and zoom often manually with the other hand. Edit – 21.08.2011: Added subtitles in English! [German]: Dies ist meine persönliche Aufzeichnung des Blizzard Tanzwettbewerbs auf der Gamescom 2011 (19.08.2011). Ich habe versucht mit meiner Canon SX220 ein möglichst gutes Ergebnis zu bekommen, das war nicht einfach denn ich habe die Kamera über 50 Minutes mit meinem rechten Arm hochgehalten und mit meiner anderen Hand den Zoom und Fokus reguliert. This is a tragic-comic cantata on the killing of a pet canary by a cat. A heartfelt lament. Telemanns Cantata oder Trauer-Music eines kunsterfahrenen Canarienvogels, als derselbe zum grössten Leidwesen seines Herrn Possessoris verstorben (Cantata or Funeral Music for an Artistically Trained Canary-Bird Whose Demise Brought the Greatest Sorrow to his Master) — the Canary Cantata — was composed around 1737, probably as a personal favor or on a commission from a now-forgotten Hamburg pet lover; the author of the text is unknown. The work is generally viewed as an ironic and mock-serious cat-that-got-the-canary tale, but the touching lament of the last aria (My canary, good night!) and the closing lines of the final recitative — which uses a low German dialect given a surprisingly vehement setting — indicate a deeper sentiment in the music that reflects the loss of even this tiny life. It is worth noting that included in the intrumental ensemble is Fischer-Dieskau’s first wife, the cellist Irmgard Poppen, who died in childbirth in 1963. Uploading this in three parts. Verabschiedung der Änderung des Conterganstiftungsgesetzes im Bundestag in 2009, hier: Rede der SPD-Berichterstatterin Marlene Rupprecht Frau Rupprecht verteidigt die damalige Entstehung des Stiftungsgesetzes (pers. Kommentar: wurde seinerzeit von SPD-Regierung 1971 unter sehr fragwürdigen Bedingungen verabschiedet). Sie bedankt sich ganz besonders bei den Politikern der SPD, FDP und CDU sowie Verwaltung für die aus ihrer Sicht großartige Leistung und behauptet, die Entschädigung im Ausland wäre nicht mit der in Deutschland vergleichbar, da unser Sozialsystem so sehr viel besser und ausdifferenzierter sei (Originalton: “..11 oder 12 Sozialgesetzbücher..”, persönl. Anmerkung: das 12. Sozialgesetzbuch (SGB XII) beinhaltet die Grundsicherung. Frau Rupprecht zeigt hier deutlich, dass sie noch nicht einmal unser deutsches Sozialsystem wirklich kennt, denn sonst hätte sie erstens nicht das SGB XII “vergessen” und wüsste zweitens, dass bei fast allen Leistungen nur nachrangig geleistet wird, dh erst muss privates Vermögen und eigenes Einkommen + das des Partners VERBRAUCHT sein, bevor man etwas beantragen kann !!!
